Domain Registration and Web Hosting
First, you must register a domain name. The domain name is your website address. You can register the name for as long as you choose (1 year, 2 years, etc.) and renew for as long as you choose.

Third, update the domain name servers for your domain with your domain registrar so that your domain name points to your web host’s name servers.
